Allu Arjun Reveals the Story Behind the Iconic Pallu Shot in Pushpa 2—It Took Over 80 Takes!
Remember the iconic pallu shot from Pushpa 2? Allu Arjun recently opened up about the challenging process behind capturing that now-famous moment. Speaking at the WAVES 2025 Summit in Mumbai, the actor shared that it took more than 80 takes to get the shot just right, revealing the behind-the-scenes effort that went into it.
Allu Arjun, who plays the red sanders smuggler Pushpa Raj in Pushpa 2: The Rule, recalled how the shot turned out to be much more complex than initially anticipated. “It was part of the trailer and also featured in one of the first teasers for the film. We started shooting early in the morning, and it took us about 70 to 80 takes before we finally got it,” he said.
He described how, by mid-afternoon, he finally began to get into the rhythm of the shot. “We began at 8:30 am, and by around 11 am, I started to feel it. By 2:30 pm, we finally nailed the shot.” He even joked about how the production team lost count of the takes, saying, “They ran out of numbers and alphabets, so I told them to forget the count and just keep going until we get it right. It ended up being the 85th or 78th take—we lost count in the process!"
This level of dedication to getting the perfect shot shows just how much effort Allu Arjun and the team put into delivering a cinematic moment that would resonate with audiences.
